Queen Bee Makes Picnic Barbecue Green Beans

If you are looking for a simple Crock Pot recipe, look no further than Picnic Barbecue Green Beans.   For this recipe you will need...

6 slices of bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
4- 14 1/2 oz cans green beans, drained
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar, packed

First, cut up the onion...

and sauté in a frying pan until tender.

Then fry the bacon...

While the onion and bacon are cooking mix the ketchup and brown sugar together.

Then drain the green beans and empty them into a crock pot...

Then notice your child stealing a green bean or two from the crock pot while standing on a dangerous but thrilling bar stool.

Justify letting him do this dangerous stunt because he is eating healthy and do not remove him.

Then mix the bacon, onion, and sauce all together in the crock pot with the green beans...

and cook on a low setting for 6 to 7 hours.  If you are feeding a large crowd, this recipe can be easily doubled.
(Oh, and my little Bee did eventually get down from the high, thrilling bar stool and did not get injured.)
