By now all of you have read in the post, "The Bees Get Amused," that the Bee family went to Hershey Park many times this summer. As you recall I am not a big fan of roller coasters. Despite that fact, I can say I had a really good time and miss going there. If your family is headed to Hershey Park next year here is my top 10 list of things you will need in order to survive. Ready to count down? This post will contain survival tips 10 through 6.
Ten: Go when it is the least busy. We found out that we liked going in the late afternoon/evening hours. That is when it is cooler and the lines are the shortest for rides. Sometimes there are no lines at all once school has started.
Nine: It is worth buying the souvenir cup if you plan on going often. It was $1.00 plus tax every time we refilled this cup. Yes we all drank out of the same cup. We are family. It's ok.
Eight: Take a stroller. That's right, even if you don't have children take a stroller. A stroller is a good place to store all of your stuff. It has a cup holder and will hold just about anything you want it too. Plus it gives you something to lean on if you get tired of all the walking.
Seven: Dress appropriately for the weather. Some of those September afternoons and evenings were pretty chilly. The last thing you want is to go on rides when the weather is cool without the proper attire.
Six: When you know your three year old precious baby is on a big, high, humongous roller coaster...
and you feel your anxiety level starting to rise, stare at the beautiful plants and scenery. It has a calming effect.
